Support for Single Mom in Custody Dispute

I’m trying to raise funds to pay the remainder of my attorneys fees in my child custody dispute. My family is unable to help, and I’ve depleted my savings and 401k account. My son and I have been on our own since before he was born in 2006. I asked for a review of my child support order in early 2016 and it was determined the amount should be increased. His father was not in his life in an capacity until late 2016, after he filed the petition for custody. I don’t and have never wanted anything other than what is fair for me and for my son, who’s entire life has turned upside down since his father has come into his life. He would not agree to settle at mediation, and has made the entire process incredibly stressful for my son and for me. I’m trying to pay what I can, but being a single parent with one income doesn’t leave much leftover. My son’s father and his current wife are financially able to continue this and drag it out in an effort to break me, and I refuse to give up. I love my son and have always had his happiness and best interest at heart. Thank you for reading, and hopefully helping us.
