Our baby was born prematurely at 7 months old last July 22 at the Emergency Room of the Christ the King Unhealth Las Piñas, I was supposed to have a check-up at my OB clinic due to the tingling and sharp pain in the right side of my stomach, but the secretary told me to rush to the ER of the hospital, while in the ER I was undergoing monitoring of the baby health, the doctor jumped on my bed for I was crowing and everything happens so fast and our baby was delivered. The doctor transferred her to another hospital with the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Las Piñas Doctor Hospital since the hospital where I gave birth has no NICU facility. She is undergoing treatments and examinations for her lung is not yet fully developed. She was stabilized but her condition is considered "vulnerable" so close monitoring is much needed. Since she got an infection, she has been continuously on antibiotic treatments, phototherapy, and IVIG injections, of on top other medications, which are very costly, and more laboratory tests should be done on her, especially since she is still a preemie with weak lungs and have several episodes of apnea. Our baby is required to stay in the hospital for perhaps 1-2 months for monitoring and treatment until the infection is finally over, and she is finally in full term and can breathe independently on her own without the help of a mechanical ventilator or oxygen.

Our family relies primarily on my salary, so it will not suffice to cover the hospitalization bills and medication expenses. My husband had an angioplasty operation before due to congestive heart failure, and he is taking daily maintenance medicines which in turn take a deal from my salary. With our emergency fund already stretched and a part used when I gave birth, we expect the hospital bill to bloat since we do not know when to take our baby out of the hospital.

I am embarrassed to ask for help, but I wanted my baby to pull through, and get better, and look forward to bringing her home. The hospital bill is around P40K plus per day. Our baby does not have HMO coverage and the Philhealth (government healthcare) can only cover a minimal amount to a certain extent. We are also trying to ask for financial support from government agencies and other charitable institutions. Our family is sincerely grateful for anyone that can help, any assistance, no matter what size, no amount is too small, from your hearts is much appreciated. It will come a long way and be a significant help to us. May I also humbly request to include our baby in your prayers and share the link to our funding campaign with your friends or other online platforms?

Thank you so much in advance. God bless us all.
