Support for Ping’s Cancer Medication

Ping Meliton, our niece, 23 years old is a Pulmonary Sarcomatoid Lung CA patient.

The mass was detected April of this year, 2016 as she was processing her medical certificate for employment in Davao City, Philippines. To confirm diagnosis, various medical procedures were conducted. We also sought other opinions from various hospitals in the country. It was June 2016 when we finally got the confirmation and unfortunately, it's a malignant tumor.

According to the clinical studies conducted to Ping, stressed triggered the disease. She was in the peak of graduating from Medical Technology- simultaneously, she was having her internship in the hospital, reviewing for her board exams, took the pre-board exams, processing documents for the graduation rites and finally, took her 2-day board exams. She passed and had her license as a Registered Medical Technologist.

But her fate was twisted, just when she's about to practice what she had studied for years, she's now in a battle to have her cheerful life back.

She is admitted in the hospital almost every month since June as she's always in pain. She'd udergone a major operation for mass debulking procedure as the mass aggressively grows. She had a cycle of Chemotherapy but was aborted because the mass was not responding to the procedure. Even if the mass was already debulked, it is growing back again to even a bigger size resulting to her difficulty of breathing. We cannot waste another minute so she was then referred to have radiation therapy. But just when she was about to start the session, she was admitted to the hospital due to intolerable pain and severe difficulty of breathing.

It was the toughest days by far because she was revived twice. First, it was one morning when she almost ran out of oxygenation, nasal and mask oxygen were not sufficient to support her breathing that's why a ventilating machine was urgently put on her. The next morning, she suffered seizure, ran out of oxygen- she passed out for almost a minute. Thanks God she was revived. After almost 3 weeks in the hospital, she was discharged.

Ping was able to start her radiation therapy. But as of this campaign, she's back in the hospital to aid her suffering due to severe pain.

For almost 8 months of non-stop medication for Ping, our family has reached its financial incapacity to support Ping's medication. Cancer requires at least a million. Now, it's counting. But ofcourse we do not want to stop the fight due to financial reasons.

We would like to ask for financial assistance to continue Ping's medication including her radiation therapy which cost almost P200, 000 and other medical expenses (hospital bills and expensive drugs). We've also been spending atleast a 100 thousand for her monthly expenses including her emergency visits to the hospital.
