Campaign Story
My Mommy Nora had a fever last Sept 23 to 25 where she lost her appetite and felt very weak. She recovered a week later. On Sept 28, my Daddy Jun also had fever with body pains, lost his appetite, and felt very weak. Last October 5, my mom called me saying that my dad is extremely weak - he could not even talk or stand up properly. More so, she got very worried when my dad started hallucinating, saying things that were not actually happening. That was the time that we rush them both to the hospital. Upon, arrival to the hospital, my dad's oxygen level was extremely low. The doctor found out that he has bilateral pneumonia, he could barely talk and recognize me. My mom was waiting in the car with my husband waiting for the test results for COVID-19 hoping that it would be negative. However, at midnight, results showed that he was COVID-19 positive. His case is severe per doctor's advice and currently in the progressive care unit. Soon after we knew the result, we immediately had my mom tested. After a few hours she was tested positive for COVID-19 and also with mild bilateral pneumonia. She is currently confined in a Regular COVID-19 unit.
During our talk with the doctors, they estimated that their bill for a 14-day stay is conservatively estimated at Php1Million each. Per said doctors also, they mentioned that PhilHealth will cover as high as Php300k only.
Regardless of how small you think your contribution might be, I can assure you that the impact is enormous. Everything counts and we would love to count on you. These are challenging times for many people around the world. If it is within your reach to donate, we would be very grateful.
Lastly, help us spread the word and share our fundraiser link.
Thank you so much for your help,
