Under my father's name, I am Ayeza Reglo, a 19 year old college student from Tacloban City and I am the eldest among 3 siblings. I've gathered up the strength to try to reach out to you to ask for help. My mom LORELYN RAMOS REGLO, was diagnosed with Stage 3 Inflammatory Breast Cancer and as far as I know, it became aggressive. My mom has been in and out of the doctor's clinic for her tests since last year and she recently got her operation for her biopsy which led to her diagnosis which was the stage 3 cancer.

Right now, she needs to undergo chemotherapy that costs ₱21,700 per session (undetermined total number of sessions) to lessen the size of her inflamed left breast before proceeding to the operation with the approximate cost of ₱50,000 to remove them from her.

My mom is from Cagayan de Oro City and I've been taught that Bisaya women are one of the strongest women. I've witnessed my mom being strong for us even being away from her husband and from her own blood family. She's cared for us 24/7 even in her sickly days just to make sure that her children gets to eat their meals. I know that she has endured so much for us that I think this time, it's a fight where she really needs everyone to be at her side.

On late nights, I couldn't help but be scared for her, my brothers and for my dad. I am scared to lose my mom without having her witness us to graduate and have our own children, I am scared for my 16 year old brother who's very close to my mom, I am scared for my 4 year old brother because I don't want him to grow up without his mother by his side, and I am most especially scared for my dad who's been alone in Manila for months, how hard must it have been for him to long for his wife who badly needs him right now.

My dad is a seafarer which honestly wouldn't have been hard for us to cover up the expenses but he's been unemployed for almost 5-6 months including the 3 months of him being stranded in Manila, away from his children and wife in Tacloban city, due to this covid outbreak pandemic. We currently don't have any source of income and my parents have already borrowed so much money.

We don't usually ask for help especially when it comes to financial struggles since I know my parents to be the most productive and resourceful and they always had their ways to find the money but this time I knew that we really needed to reach out.

Karon lang gyud mi nangayog tabang. Kabalo mi na dili lang mi ang priority tungod sa health crisis karon pero kabalo sad ko na di lang dapat mi magtanga, kailangan sad namo na maglaban para ni mama. [This is the only time that we have asked for help. We know that we're not the main priority due to the health crisis that we're all facing right now but we also know that we should not only be sitting here and do nothing, we should also fight and do something for our mom.]

If you have children too, I really hope that you'd know how scared my mom is right now.

If you are also an older/eldest sibling, I'm hoping that you might at least understand why I tried to take this shot and how scared I am of this situation for my younger siblings too.

We're currently also thinking of ways to earn money for her chemo and for now, I thought of this and gave it a shot for my mom at least. Any amount would do for us and we'll accept it whole heartedly.

I'm sincerely knocking on your door, hoping for a chance that you'd open the door for us. We know that prayers have done it's wonders and miracles but we also know that we must take action for what we've prayed for.

Thank you so much for your time!

God bless!
