Support for Katie ♡

This campaign is for my dear friend Katie, who is in need of support after losing both of her parents, their deaths being only six months apart from each other. Both deaths were unexpected but her mother's passing was especially devastating; Katie had to identify her mother's body after being struck in a hit-and-run car accident. She has been left to pick up these pieces completely alone, without any family members to support as she faces these tragedies. She has been left with just enough money to get by after spending every dollar of her parent's minuscule life insurance policies— just to cover their funeral costs. Katie is a young, intelligent and extremely hardworking young woman; she has the biggest heart I know. She aspires to earn a degree in Political Science at the University of Georgia before moving on to law school.

Donations will be used to help fund Katie's mental health expenses, as she is in dire need of professional counseling to help her cope with her loses. Funds will also be used to help her find a reliable, fairly inexpensive vehicle to drive because the transmission in her Jeep blew out just last month. It breaks my heart to see one of my best friends struggling, especially because she has nobody to assist her financial woes. Ultimately, my hopes are that this campaign will help Katie get back on her feet as she looks forward to the bright future that's in store for her.
