Support for father Gershon’s Medical, Funeral and Memorial Fund.

I say this with a very heavy heart. We wish not to come here but the need has come. Your support at this moment is very important to me.

Papa Gershon was a loving father, proactive in his own small way, and a positive thinker. The final words which were clear enough to be heard from him which he left behind with us were “Thank you very much, God richly bless you”. Father Gershon, in his final days spent several weeks with breaks at the Regional hospital surviving mainly by the help of oxygen. Father was eighty (80), but his love and compassion for us was still fresh and vibrant. We wished he attain eighty-one (81) as he had less than two months to achieve that goal, but the will of God is ultimate in our lives. Doctors and nurses tried their best, while we did our prayers in support to rescue father for the love we enjoy from him as a family, but his call was crucial to God.

We are here reaching out to friends and families for your support to cater for the rest of father’s medical bills which I could no longer afford as a result of long spending on his prolonged stroke over the years before the setting in of the prostate complications which led to his transition, and if possible to organise his final burial and funeral at home.

Again, we the children need your support to launch a memorial fund in memory of our father. With this fund, we want to support the aged like our dad, and children, but most importantly victims of stroke and prostate related cases, as these were the main challenges dad suffered before his final call. More so, our experiences in the wards revealed to us that there is more to be done to create awareness on prostate enlargement in men, and its related diseases as compared to breast cancer awareness in women. We want to take up the campaign on regular checkups and screening on prostate as the doctor suggested to us.
