Corona Virus outbreak is crumbling Bangladesh's informal economy as all businesses are now shutdown - thousands of people lost their daily earning sources - they have no work, they have no food.

We never thought a virus could be so devastating for a developing country.

In recent years Dhaka city has never been so hungry like now.

Even the natural disaster happened, people still could work and feed themselves.

It was never easy for lower-income people to have a good life in Dhaka city - one had to sweat blood for food, but there was work to be found and food to be had.

With a regular job, some families could survive around the city - but with this Corona Virus shutdown, there is not any more option open for the slum living people.

So, more people are now coming to the road and going to the door to have a meal for the day for them and their families.

In fact, the middle class is also suffering with their limited earnings and they are also being affected severely for this Corona Virus outbreak.

According to Daily Star, the leading English newspaper in Bangladesh:

"Sabina Khatun, a day laborer who breaks bricks into chips for a living. There has been no work for 20 days and her family consists of a sick husband and two children, all of whom are waiting with hungry stomachs.

"I have no work, no food and no fear of the coronavirus," she declared defiantly, sitting down on the sidewalk to wait for alms. That there is their predicament -- the city that had drawn the whole country to it like fireflies to light, and given them hopes of a new life, has nothing to offer now."

So, friends lets do something for these poor people in our country - let's united and stretch our hands and give them some food to survive in this Corona Virus crisis.

Donate whatever amount you can - we'll donate this money to a charity organization in Bangladesh to buy food for the poorest people living in slums in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
