Hello there! We are Ted and Phil, and we are Monsoon. We are a small business, promoting Hakka culture through unique commerce and food experiences. Taiwan hasn't been affected by the pandemic for over a year until now. Cases have suddenly risen, there's a shortage of vaccination and the now already 2 month lockdown has adversely affected SMBs like us. We've lost 90% of our income but are now trying to pivot toward food delivery. Initially we tried offering take out service but many customers are afraid to step out of their homes, even for groceries let alone cooked food.
We'd like to enroll with Uber Eats as a restaurant partner but we cannot afford the fees of USD350 (includes hardware and training) at this moment as we have rent, utilities, insurance etc to cover too. We've placed the target amount at USD500 as there are food delivery setup costs like food boxes, bags, promotional marketing that will need to be purchased.
We understand everybody on our planet is going through some very difficult, unprecedented times but we hope you will find it in your heart to help us out, no matter how small your donation may be. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

PS. for every $10 you donate to us, we will pledge to give 5 bento lunch boxes to a frontline worker (nurse, doctor etc) at the Tzu Chi Buddhist Hospital. We will place your name on the lunch bag and update you with a pic. Thank you again.
