Story
Sewing the Seeds is a women’s empowerment initiative of om foundationa small grassroots organization in westbengal India. The program aims to create a social enterprise, targeting the women from the villages living on the outskirts of Kolkata to gain economic independence to meet their family needs and children’s education.
The Organisation proposes to raise funds to create employment opportunities for disadvantaged women so that the above communities are treated with dignity and reduce inhuman practices like child marriage, early pregnancy, domestic violence, etc.

To provide economic benefits to our students and their immediate family, om Foundation is looking to install TOMATO PRODUCTS AND PICKLES ( AGRO BASED FOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRY ) to help neede pepal in orgnigation We started with personal care and household goods – now we're making healthy, premium quality food affordable to all. Join us today! We also install
a stitching unit all so at its facility. We are looking to make the following products:
Saree bags
Cotton bags for grocery
Cotton bags for day to day household activities
The facility shall be used by:
Mothers of disabled children - this will ensure that they can afford the tuition fees and also can contribute to their family income to run their household
The disabled children as a training centre, imparting them training and making them independent and ready for employment/ self employment.
We are collaborating with Singer (organisation) which will provide us with discounted unit and have identified 2 supervisors who shall be acting as trainers to the project.
In addition to the training and usage of the premises, this the Foundation will contribute in helping the beneficiaries sell the produce in the market through both online and offline route.
Breakdown of usage
The amount required would principally be used for purchasing the unit set for Rs. 9 Lakhs and Rs. 8 Lakh (approx.) shall be used for 8 months working capital i.e. purchase of roumatarealand marketing expenses
