Το 2020 Solidarity είναι πρωτοβουλία του εικαστικού Wolfgang Tillmans και ξεκίνησε μέσω της πλατφόρμας του, Between Bridges Project, με στόχο την οικονομική ενίσχυση των ανεξάρτητων πολιτιστικών χώρων που αντιμετωπίζουν δυσκολίες λόγω του COVID-19. Στο κάλεσμα του Tillmans ανταποκρίθηκαν πάνω από 50 καλλιτέχνες οι οποίοι διαθέτουν από ένα έργο τους σε μη-περιορισμένη έκδοση, για τη στήριξη της καμπάνιας. Είναι μια κίνηση συλλογικής δράσης και αλληλεγγύης που τόσο έχουμε ανάγκη αυτή τη στιγμή. Το ΟΧΤΩ / Eight συμμετέχει με τις δυνάμεις του στην καμπάνια.

Το Between Bridges, αναλαμβάνει να εκτυπώσει τα έργα και να τα διανέμει σε ανεξάρτητους πολιτιστικούς χώρους σε όλο τον κόσμο, για να χρησιμοποιηθούν σαν rewards σε fundraisers/καμπάνιες crowdfunding. Κάθε ποστερ προσφέρεται σαν ανταπόδοση σε δωρεά 50 ευρώ και έχει μέγεθος A2 (59,4 x 42 cm / 23,4 x 16,5 in). Όλα τα έργα εκτυπώνονται από το Βetween Bridges και διανέμονται από το ΟΧΤΩ δωρεάν εντός Ελλάδας. Η διανομή θα γίνει μεταξύ 15 και 30 Αυγούστου, αφού ολοκληρωθεί η καμπάνια και στην συνέχεια αποσταλθούν στο ΟΧΤΩ οι επιλεγμένες αφίσες από το Between Bridges Project που έχει έδρα το Βερολίνο.

Μπορείτε να δείτε όλες τις διαθέσιμες αφίσες στο gallery. Στα δεξιά της σελίδας υπάρχουν όλοι οι τίτλοι των έργων όπου και μπορείτε να επιλέξετε αυτό ή αυτά που επιθυμείτε. Εάν έχετε βάση στην Αθήνα μπορείτε κατόπιν επικοινωνίας να παραλάβετε το έργο από το ΟΧΤΩ. Σε αυτή την περιπτωση αφήστε προσωπικό comment στο checkout. Υπάρχει και η δυνατότητα ταχυδρομικής αποστολής.

Support To OXTΩ/EIGHT - 2020 Solidarity, Between Bridges

“2020 Solidarity” is a Between Bridges project, initiated by visual artist Wolfgang Tillmans, aimed at helping cultural and music venues, community projects, independent spaces and publications that are existentially threatened by the current crisis. Due to COVID19, independent art spaces face multiple obstacles in their daily operation and working conditions. In response to Tillmans’ & Between Bridges call, more than fifty international artists came together to design an unlimited edition poster each, which will only be available for a limited period of time.

Το ΟΧΤΩ/EIGHT has joined the project Between Bridges and launched a 4-week fundraiser to generate financial support for our upcoming activities with art and cultural workers. We are able to do this fundraiser with the support of Between Bridges’ 2020 Solidarity campaign. Each poster is offered as a reward for 50 euros and comes in A2 size (59,4 x 42 cm/23,4 x16,5 in). All posters are printed by Between Bridges and can be distributed by ΟΧΤΩ/EIGHT anywhere in Greece. The distribution of the posters will take place between 15-30 of August, after the end of our campaign and when the Between Bridges Project send the chosen posters.

Το ΟΧΤΩ/EIGHT is a collective space in the centre of Athens that explores the possibilities of a critical intervention in an ever-changing precarious landscape. Bringing together forms of artistic, political and theoretical production, urban research and social action and building on radical experiments of recent years it seeks to investigate forms of continuity and instituting that challenge neoliberal demands of sustainability.

As a self-organised space Το ΟΧΤΩ/EIGHT operates without funding or support from public or private resources and is depended and connected to Athens publics. With its limited resources Το ΟΧΤΩ/EIGHT supports and works with other collectives, initiatives, and cultural workers by donating to this fundraiser you help Το ΟΧΤΩ/EIGHT continue.
