Covid-19 global pandemic has brought the business world to its knees and low income people are suffering the most due to loss of jobs in this situation. For daily wagers and low income families due to loss of jobs there is no income and are on the verge of starvation. Most of them are suffering a lot and have to face the worst due to no food. This is leading to deaths due to starvation and problem has gone out of hand. Today more than 80 million+ daily wagers across the globe are suffering due to starvation. On behalf of Meals For Hungry International we are organizing this fundraiser to provide ration to such families which will help them to survive in this extremely difficult situation.

Meals For Hungry International is working since 2013 delivering meals to hungry in India, USA and UAE. We initially started with India but soon understood that the food security problem is very grave and big. There are many nations across the world who are facing some serious food security problems. Still today in the world at least one out of 10 people are hungry and go undernourished on daily basis, A child dies from hunger every 10 seconds. World throws away at least 40 tonnes of food every second.

Initially when started this as a not for profit activity in the year 2010 the founder of Meals For Hungry International was doing it at individual level with the help of volunteers and funding it from his own pocket. Soon he understood that this has to be a global initiative and started finding more volunteers as well as partners across the world. Soon Meals For Hungry International started its activities in USA and UAE with India. With various other global initiatives for food security, Meals For Hungry International wants to take help of Science and Technology to help prevent hunger and so have been working on the same since then.

We have created a ration and health protection kit sufficient for family of 4 sufficient for 1 month. The kit is costing approximately USD 55. We have identified over 70,000 such families which need immediate help in the region of India and some in UAE which are migrant workers from India itself. Following are the details of kit:

We have already collected data to identify families and people in need. Also volunteers are in place to immediately help such families. We have till date helped 1000+ families by collecting more than USD 120,000 most of which was given by founder of Meals For Hungry International. We now seek help from everyone to raise maximum donation possible to help these people.

The areas we will be covering to help these 70,000 families are:

In India (With Ration and Health Protection Kits): Mumbai, Thane, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Pune, Indore, Bhopal, Jhansi, Gorakhpur, Gonda, Deoria, Patna, Drbangha, Delhi, Banglore, Chennai.

In UAE (With Ration and Health Protection Kits): Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah.

As a part of the process we always collect any government issued identification document from the person whom we are helping to maintain absolute transparency and fairness in the process.

We hope that you will help these daily wagers in and from India to survive in these tough times and show them that humanity still exists and is still strong!!
