SUPPORT DADA VANDITANANDA FOR ROOF REPLACEMENT

Ananda Putta Bhumi is an integrated agricultural project of Ananda Marga Association Poland, started in 1990. The project has been managed primarily by Ananda Marga monk- Dada Vanditananda - for 30 years.

Dada is relatively well known in the local community due to his service activities. Since the 1990s he has collaborated with local government on drug and alcohol awareness and rehab projects. As a homeopathic doctor, yogi and meditation teacher, he is also offering free medical consultations, yoga and meditation classes to local people.

During his long years of managing the project, Dada has completely transformed the farm, which now includes well preserved buildings, extensive organic vegetable cultivations, organic fruit orchards and dairy animals. The project is also a centre for spiritual studies.

The main building of Ananda Putta Bhumi is an antique house, the roof was replaced once in 1996 using Corrugated bitumen roofing sheets. Roof replacement is now urgent as it is beginning to leak in places. Regular maintenance repairs have proved insufficient as the water infiltrations are rotting the underlining purlin structure and are threatening the structural integrity of the whole building.

Dada has already obtained permission from the local authority for roof replacement and a quote of the total cost from local construction companies.

Our project includes:

The roof: total surface to be replace is 440m2

Fixing Chimney: 1

Work to be done:

1. Remove the old roof.
2. Install the purlins
3. Install the roof membranes
4. Install the new roof sheeting
5. Fix the chimney
6. Install the gutter.

Our budget: 72.838.89 zł

The fund will be spend for:

1. Materials:

• Metal sheets: 13.860,13 zł
• Ridge tiles: 720,09 zł
• Roof flashing: 1.275,08 zł
• Screws: 420,07
• Roof membranes: 1657,52 zł
• Purlins: 450m3: 1000zł
• Wood for roof membranes: 550m3: 600zł
• Nails: 370 zł
• Chimney pipe and bricks: 2500zł
• Gutter system: 2.700zł

2. Labour works with VAT (8%): 47.736 zł

In total: 72.838,89 zł
