A recent case I saw on TV where a young girl aged 15 from Pakistan was left with horrific burns on her face after her husband threw acid on her prompted me to want to do something. Fortunately, doctors were able to repair her features to a certain extent but now she is left with scarred skin which is really affecting her self-esteem. Regretfully, she is not the first case and unless we do something - probably not the last. What I'd like to do is open up a support centre (library image used in profile) with programmes created for them that assist with basic needs, education and training to get them back on their feet. Unfortunately because of the number of victims there are, we are needing ongoing support and hopefully £250,000 should be sufficient to cover our services. Your support is much needed and would be highly appreciated, however little it may be.
All work done through your proceedings will be blogged as soon as sufficient funds are raised, so that you can follow the journey in which you have helped to make a difference.
