Please join us in welcoming the newest member of our family, Theodore Allen Richmond! I'm sure you will agree that he's particularly adorable in every way. We are head over heels in love with him!

Mom Jen and Dad Cody are calling him Theo. After his birth, Theo spent a few days in the intensive care unit to address a fever and a few other issues. Then, just as they had arrived home with Theo and were settling into a cozy routine, Jen and Cody noticed some worrisome symptoms and decided to call in the paramedics. Improbably, before the ambulance could arrive, Jen found herself in the position of having to resuscitate Theo, with no training or experience. AND SHE DID.

Theo was successfully whisked off to the hospital, and over two days, he stabilized. It has been discovered that he has a heart arrhythmia caused by Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome. Remarkably, Theo's prognosis is good. He is a healthy baby who has been responding well to interventions. Now this young family have a long slow road ahead of them, as doctors plot Theo's future course of treatment and gently step him down from the monitors and machines that have been keeping him sedated and stable. Soon we hope Theo can be returned, hale and hearty, to his parents' arms, where he can continue growing into the wonderful young person he is.

The last few years have been emotional ones for Jen and for our family, and baby Theo has brought so much joy! Jen and Cody have waited a long time, saving prudently, for this special little one. But now they will need all of our support and care, emotionally, physically, and financially, to flourish! If you are able, could you make a donation toward Theo's medical care?
