Support Anniversario Walkers and Help Clinica de Autismo

Walk with us January 8th from 3 am to 11 am eighteen miles through the
jungle from Santa Cruz to Santa Maria Huatulco. You are invited to
participate in this magical local tradition and help raise money for a
worthy cause: Autistic Children in Santa Cruz and La Crucecita. These
children and their families need your help and all contributions will go to
support the Clinica de Autismo. Please reach out to your friends from
Mexico, Canada or the US to sponsor you or just make an outright donation.
It will help much needed families provide a better education for this
segment of the population in great need. You will feel good whether you
just give money or join us in the walk.

The particulars: we will meet at the Zocolo in Santa Crus and then walk a
short distance to the beginning of the walk at the cross in the National
Park at the end of Oaxaca Street down from Binniguenda Hotel. Along with
500 other people we will walk over sand, gravel and small streams. There
are support services along the way as well as food and water stops. At the
end of the walk we all gather the Zocalo in Santa Huatulco for a
presentation. After the walk we will provide transportation back into town
where we will have a breakfast together at Hotel Princess Mavey overlooking
the Chahue Bay. If you raise over $200, your breakfast will be our gift to
you otherwise there will be an additional charge of $10.

After our convivial meal, we can rest up and those interested can plan to
return for the evening festivities which will include a Guelaguetza with
dances from every town in the region of Huautlco, including dancers
carrying turkeys and ending the night’s festivities with a castle of
fireworks!

What you will need: comfortable shoes, socks, a second pair of shoes for
sandals water, snacks, flashlight, a layer in case it is cool, a cool shirt
for when it warms up, sun screen, sun glasses, hat and money for breakfast.

Your participation in this event is guaranteed to be an experience of a
