My name is Patricia Francisco-Capule, and together with our family, I am appealing for financial help for our family member, Maricel Queja. With her permission, I am humbly posting this and asking for help for her medical expenses.
Maricel or Tita Cel, as my niece would fondly call her, is currently confined at the San Mateo Medical Center in San Mateo Rizal. On the night of August 6, I rushed her to the emergency room because of stomach ache and vomiting. In her abdominal ultrasound and CT scan, the doctor found out that there was a huge Tumorclog ging her large intestine and because of this, no food, not even water, can pass her large intestine. This has caused the food to be stuck and eventually, both her large and small intestine became extremely dilated. The doctors decided to do an emergency operation last Sunday morning to remove the tumor and the dilated part of her intestines. Without the operation, Tita Cel could have experienced septic shock or worst, her intestines could have burst and both situations would be life threatening for her. Her wonderful and kind doctors were able to remove the tumor. However, we are now waiting for the results if the tumor is malignant or if it was caused by TB.
The pandemic made it very difficult for us to find a public hospital where we can bring her since ECQ is still in effect in Metro Manila. Despite lack of funds, we decided to bring her to a private hospital because we feared that her life was already in danger. Unfortunately, the operation that she went through costs too high for our family to pay for alone. As of August 11th, her hospital bill is now at P149,036.07 and this amount does not include the professional fees of the surgeon and anesthesiologist. We are anticipating that this amount will still increase to about P200,000 with the doctors' fees.
Tita Cel has been with our family for 7 years now and she's been taking care of all of us ever since. We are hoping that you would be able to help us bring her back to good health so that she can still continue to support her 2 wonderful kids who are currently living in Guinobatan, Bicol Region.
The COVID pandemic may have affected us in every way, especially financially but I am taking our chance to ask for help for our Tita Cel. Any amount will go a long way. Also, please include her in your prayers so that she may recover soon and that the biopsy would how a benign result.
On behalf of our family and Tita Cel, we thank you in advance for your generosity and prayers.
