Support a widow with -11 months-overdue rent

Hello and thank you for your time to read this and hopefully help.

I am Hussam Aboud, I am a half Syrian half Jordanian man living in a country called Kuwait ever since I was 5, I am trying to raise money for my aunt just for her to pay the cumulative accrued rent (11 months) as her husband died in March this year and her working son suffered from severe OCD and depression and had to travel back to Jordan to receive the needed treatment (thankfully he is doing good now – 2 years after starting the treatment-.

The story began in Aug. 2019 in Kuwait when my cousin – aunt’s son- let’s called him A- started feeling so down, scared and unable to sleep or think clearly, he had to step out of his work because he couldn’t work at all, after a few failed attempts in getting treatment in Kuwait we had to fly him to Jordan for a better medical care in February 2020, and thankfully he’s doing a lot better now -phycological wise- as for his career, Jordan is a poor country with around 15% unemployment rate in 2019 and 40% unemployment rate in 2021, so he is still jobless. And sadly, the government in Kuwait stopped issuing Visa’s including job visa’s so he can’t come here and work, had the visas started issuing we wouldn’t have faced this, and it has been 2 years since he last saw his mother and couldn’t come to his father’s funeral.

As for her late husband, he was a working for a shipping company and haven’t got paid at all because of Covid-19’s crisis, he didn’t get paid from Dec 2019 till his death in Mar 2021, because of this and his son’s treatment bills, he couldn’t afford to pay the rent and kept on delaying the due from May 2020 till his death, he died in March 2021 of stroke at the age of 58, leaving the 54 aunt a young widow with nothing but 11 months of rent debts.

The landlord didn’t care about what happened and sent an official memo to the house in June 2021 to pay the due in more than a month or she will be called for the court, we’ve talked to a few lawyers and they said if it was escalated to the court, they will win the case you will have to leave the apartment and pay the due to the government as installment/ per month.

The rent was KD500/- per month, so KD 5500/- for the whole period equivalent to $18,250.00.

All the money raised will go directly to my aunt to pay the rent.

I have proof for everything (death certificate, memo for paying the rent, A’s medical treatment) but I would rather not share them, thanks for understanding.
