Sokolovna restaurant takes care of participants or lacrosse events held in LCC Radotín arena (Radotín, Prague, Czech Republic). It provides us with great food and drinks and their staff is working hard to make all visitors and friends happy and have a great time during their stay. The restaurant also supports the tournament organisation with remarkable sponsorhip - providing food and drinks for refs, tournament organizers and volunteers.
Nowadays the restaurant suffers from general government closure caused by covid19 security measures. The restaurant can provide only very limited take-away service for about three months. Major lacrosse event, Aleš Hřebeský Memorial, which is remarkable source of income covering less busy parts of year, was cancelled too from the same reason. The restaurant struggles hard to keep all its staff on paycheck. As local government support is almost unreachable it is really hard and can be a death thread if the measures take longer than expected (currently by June 8).
Currently the venue owner, Sokol Radotín club (an umbrella club of LCC Radotín) supports the restaurant by not charging the rent during the closure.
Paying the staff is another major cost and we consider it crucial for surviving. Getting a hint from Riggers team (big kudos!) we have decided to start this fundraising, approach Aleš Hřebeský Memorial lacrosse community and our friends and ask for a help with collecting funds which would be used entirely for the restaurant regular staff paychecks. We would like to reward their hard work during all lacrosse events and rescue their jobs.
The restaurant management ifself would hesitate to run such campaign, so we do it. We feel it is right thing to do. Any support will be highly appreciated and accepted with gratefulness.
We hope that together we will overcome current hard times and we will meet in Radotín soon enjoying some great meal and beer from our friends in Sokolovna restaurant.
Thank you for your support.
