Hi everyone! I trust you are all doing well.

This campaign is for the Bone Marrow Transplant of my daughter, Aaliyah Francesca (Iyah) Catriz Adriatico who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia B-Cell High Risk in July2022. She just turned 5 in February2022 and was just about to start her primary school adventure.

A brief story before we learned about her condition: It all started in July2022 when she had an on and off fever, sudden weakness, tiny red spots in her skin (petechiae) and bone pain. We thought it was Dengue as the symptoms were very similar. So, we consulted to a pedia on July 8, 2022 and she was literally in pain that she can't stand nor walk anymore. Did CBC PC & urinalysis as advised. The following day was her follow up checkup with her lab result. It was a shocking moment that we were immediately referred to EMERGENCY. We went to the ER, admitted and everything happened so fast. Since then, different specialists have been in and out of the room check her up, series of questions and story telling. Different kind of lab tests, x-ray, ultrasound, 2D echo and a lot more were done. She was also under intensive care monitoring since our Day1 at the hospital. Then, she was referred to a Pediatrics- Hematologist/Oncologist. On DAY2, we learned that our little Iyah was showing signs and symptoms of leukemia and that she was negative of dengue. Only way to confirm her current condition was through her blood or bone marrow which was done at the National Kidney and Transplant Institute. So, we stayed at the hospital while waiting for the result from the NKTI. Until July 13, 2022~ her pedia-hema/onco confirmed that she has leukemia with around 45% blast based on the result of the flow cytometry from NKTI and that the treatment is chemotheraphy which was expected to last up to 2.5years.

Fast forward: our days and weeks have been full of clinic appointments, chemo treatments, series of blood transfusions and extractions, and unplanned hospital stays that sometimes last for weeks. It was very devastating, knowing that our 5yo little Iyah won't make it to a school and make friends. Her legs were very weak to stand and walk alone. And she had loss her pretty long hair already.

Since then, we’re struggling not just emotionally and physically but also financially. We have lived on the finances of kind souls since my family’s resources have been completely drained because of her sickness. Her father and I have been unable to work regularly as we both need to attend our daughter's need during her chemotherapy sessions and hospital stays. Thus, our income is now not enough to sustain her treatment and other related medical expenses.

In the past few weeks, we thought we were already somehow on the way to beating cancer as Iyah started to show improvements. But after all that we've been through, most especially her, we're facing another devastating news.

The Induction Phase or the 1st cycle of her chemo didn't work. She didn't go on remission or the signs and symptoms of her cancer are not reduced. It even increased to almost 70% as of October 4, 2022 based on the latest biopsy done on Sept29.

Because of that, #SuperIyah is now considered with very high risk leukemia wherein the chance of cure is very poor with standard or even intensive chemo. And it left us with another treatment option which is Bone Marrow Transplant that costs around 3-3.5M Pesos.

Our Super Iyah wants to live. She always pray to be able to walk, run, play and do the simple things that she used to do before cancer hit her. She also prays to be near and play with her baby cousin. She also wanted to go to school and make new friends.

She's a very sweet little warrior and would say "I love You" randomly. She loves sharing every good things that's happening to her. She is such a good vibe.

Her ambition when she grow up is to be a policewoman and sometimes a doctor.

She's brave. She's courageous. She's hopeful. She's a fighter. And she would beat cancer!

Please include her in your prayers.

We're also here asking for donations to support and complete the 3.5M needed for her transplant so our daughter could still experience and explore life that she deserves.

My family will forever be grateful. God Bless.
