Paddle Bali for the Ocean

Hello everyone,

My name is Mike Brumby and I am preparing for a stand-up paddleboard challenge in the month of October this year. I will be attempting to paddle my board around the entire island of Bali. It will be the first time this feat has been attempted. This adventure around the beautiful coast of Bali will take approximately 9 days and cover around 250miles (400km). This journey will be a test of strength and stamina, as I will have to overcome many factors such as the waves, currents and heat. Two other paddlers will also join me on this trip as well as a support team in a boat. The paddlers are Daniel Hasulyo, 2018 SUP World Champion, and Jonni, Bali Ripcurl Bali Owner.

The challenge will also be completed for a good cause. I will be aiming to raise Rp150juta ($10,000) to be equally split amongst the NGOs listed below:

• Coral Triangle Center (@coraltrianglecenter)
• North Bali Reef Conservation (@north_bali_reef_conservation)
• Sear Soldier (@seasoldier_)
• Mangrove Mob (@mangrove.mob.bali)
• Indonesia Ocean Pride (@indonesiaoceanpride)

All of these NGOs are involved in the conservation of the ocean around Bali.
