During my trip to ghana this summer I was surprised at how the teachers and volunteers had to teach the children with little or no paper or pens and also trying to teach children how to read without books.
As many of you know I spent my time building toilets for a school called sunshine house, whilst here i was very moved at how the head teacher spoke so highly of his school and his hopes for a better future for the children in his school. I also found out that he built this school from scratch in 1986 using palm leaves as the roof and branches for the walls and it was only when origianal volunteers went in five years ago that the school finally became a building.
I would like to help David the head teacher to achieve a better future by providing some funding so they are able to buy books, pens, paper and teaching reasources. I am planning to stay in touch with him and hopefully get him to send pictures of what the funding is being used for so you can see how the donations are changing peoples lives.
Thank you so much for your support, it means alot
