Campaign Story
Sun Books is a registered charitable non-profit organisation which is part of the World Literacy Foundation. The World Literacy Foundation is a global non-profit charitable organisation aiming to lift the literacy skills of those who are illiterate or struggle to read and write.
Sun Books project is a literacy project which aims to utilise innovative technology in the form of educational e-books, activities and locally relevant educational content to advance the learning of thousands of children in remote communities.
Sun Book is a tablet device, which can be solar-powered, with an educational app pre-loaded that will be distributed to students in remote locations such as Gulu-Uganda. It brings books and learning resources to classrooms with no internet, books or electricity.
For every $500 donated, it will impact 140 children over two years by contributing to the implementation of a tablet with the Sun Books App in one classroom, giving students access to an e-library of educational resources and e-books. The more funding received, the more classrooms that will receive educational resources!
