Summer Wedding & Honeymoon

My brother Chris and his partner Nicola have been together nearly 9 years and have three beautiful children together, Chris kept proposing as a joke with a Haribo ring but eventually got a real ring to surprise Nicola with. She obviously said yes. Whilst trying to save for a wedding they’ve also been saving for a mortgage, with my parents gifting them £5000, though Nicola has been made to feel like she cannot go to her own family to help as all they have done since announcing the engagement is try to sabotage everything and have argued about every detail. Getting married is meant to be a happy occasion, yet so far all they’ve done is cry tears of sadness. My parents are going without to try and give them the best possible wedding as Nicolas parents have told her they won’t help, though as the wedding is set for the end of July and payments are due it is become apparent that some things might not happen with talks of not having flowers, a bouquet, no photographer etc, they can’t even afford a honeymoon. I though it be a nice thing to try and help them out and make their day special after most of the prep has already been ruined
