Summer Fuel Fund

With Summer almost upon us we are doing much-needed sett-checking and sett-surveying.

Last year's badger cull in the West Gloucestershire zone began in June and finished in January this year. With the North Cotswold zone potentially becoming longer and new zones starting up around the existing ones we cover (West Glos, North Cots, South Cots, part of North Wilts with Worcestershire coming into play and possibly Oxfordshire later this year) there is much work to do. This combines nicely with the work we do during hunting season as many fox hunts target badger setts, blocking and digging into them for the hunted fox or some supporters and hunt staff use badgers as extra 'sport'.

Additionally we may find out about local mink hunting meets as well as the huge number of tip-offs that we receive about poaching and other activities. We really work non-stop in our free time all year round.
