Sule Kangangi is an accomplished Kenyan professional cyclist who currently rides for German team Bike Aid Pro Cycling. Over the years, he has continuously challenged himself to be the best at what he does and on 18th December,he sets off on a different challenge,to ride 1000kms in 3 days in an effort to put a smile on the faces of the children at Aswani Children's home and Happy Rock Children's center.

Aswani Children's home which was founded by Aswani Kizito and is located in the midst of Nairobi's Kawangware slum has been a beacon of hope and a source of shelter for hundreds of street children over the past 10 years. Built on Aswani's belief that all children should have a safe place to call home, this children's home has provided a safe and enabling environment for children in an effort to protect their well being and make them self sufficient as they transition through the various stages of life.

Happy Rock Center was set up in September 2005 by John Wanjala and Nel Bloemheuvel and has so far taken care of more than fifty children, of which several small children have returned to their parents or grandparents or have been adopted. Almost fully registered in Eldoret, HRC is maintained with the donations that come in through Stichting De Blije Kei in the Netherlands and hopes to allow the older children to settle in the student city of Eldoret and to let the young children grow up in a healthy atmosphere. It is important to note that the children at HRC all attend school, learning the Kenyan system and this has seen several children succeed at high school level and proceed to college/university level.

Sule as he is widely known, will be undertaking a 1000km ride from Nairobi to Mombasa and back to Nairobi so as to raise funds for the above-mentioned children’s home and it is our hope and prayer that you can support him by donating through the various links that have been setup. Let us put a smile on the faces of these lovely children after what has been a rough year both locally and globally.
