Sudan Relief Aid Campaign – Artistic Hope Organisation

The Sudan uprising started in December 2018 and is ongoing presently. The uprising against Al-Bashir by civilians and the military was initiated because of the long term rule by Al-Bashir and deteriorating economic situation in Sudan. The massacres, injuries, rapes and displacement tolls rise by the day. Insecurity and fear is rampant in the region. Spiraling conflict, food shortage and violence have endangered millions of lives. Men, women and children suffering at the hands of the powerful oppressors; stricken by disgusting acts such as rape, brutally beaten for standing up for their rights, deprived of basic needs like food and clean water, medical supplies, health assistance and much more.

Humanity has been affected by ego, pride and social injustice. We pride ourselves in posting about Sudan/Yemen/Syria and all affected countries suffering from discrimination and oppression, these are good acts, in a digital age, awareness is strength in numbers, social media platforms are our tools to transformation - But what more can we do?

"Blood dripping from my head as I walk through a city of corpses.

Some on their last breath others preparing for their losses.

No tears left to cry and all I see is a blood bath.

People of my own and there’s nothing but wrath.

Hearing a number of women screaming as their honor is taken from them.

Men too, with no reason they condemned.

A peaceful protest turned into a mass murder.

The government says it was to bring ‘order’

Thinking Al-Bashir being ousted, my brother smiled.

Now amongst a bunch of bodies he was thrown into the Nile.

I call it brutality

My blood stained tears, has that brought attention?

Your silence is a demolition
