Studying Literature in Ireland

I’ve always wanted to travel abroad and I want my first foreign experience to be in Ireland. I believe traveling enriches one’s mind and is an amazing tool to share cultural differences. I will be studying Irish modern literature, Irish history, and medieval Celtic literature. I have always been interested in the Irish culture and before I got involved in journalism I wanted to be able to study literature and even write books for a living. My goals went from being a novel writer to being in print journalism, to my current goal which is to have a career in broadcast journalism as a field reporter. Even though I am learning skills in the broadcast sector I still have a passion for the written work. I see this program as an opportunity to be able to learn more about literature in a culture that I have always found fascinating.
