Campaign Story
I am a sophomore in college in Brigham Young University-Idaho studying to teach English and Teaching English as a Second Language. I have a great desire to go to Mesoamerica (Mexico, the Yucatan, Guatemala, and Belize). on a study abroad trip. I will be taking courses specific to my major and learning more about the Latin culture. In this trip, I will be doing service projects for the communities that I visit, visiting museums and ruins, and learn about the history of these Mesoamericans and the culture that they now share. This trip will help me gain an understanding and love for this culture and these people. It will prepare me to teach students who come from these places (I plan to teach in Southern California). I am very passionate to study abroad and gain life-changing experiences and new perspectives on life.
