Campaign Story
Psychopomp is the forthcoming student thesis film by Kevin Kino. It is currently in pre-production with producer Feargal Agard and actor Tomoyoshi Koizumi.
For a film student, the thesis film is their final project; it will be used as a calling card/resume for potential employers. The quality of a student's thesis film can greatly affect the trajectory of a young filmmaker's career.
The money donated to this project will pay for special effects, renting better camera lenses, and renting proper lighting. In short, proper funding will make the difference in the finished film looking like the polished work of consummate professionals.
As for the story- it deals with a homeless man who follows a good samaritan, and quickly loses his cool. I am inspired by David Lynch, Guy Madden, and Terry Gilliam, and hope to illustrate how urban environments cause many to feel a desire to escape, but breaking free comes at a cost most are not willing to pay.
