Campaign Story
As part of my second year as a student nurse I am volunteering in Sri Lanka next May for 2 weeks. I have decided to go on this trip as it is a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience healthcare in a developing country, and to volunteer in the local government hospital called Balapitiya Base Hospital. I will also have the opportunity to volunteer within a small private hospital in nearby Ambalangoda, closely shadowing a doctor where I can learn more about medicine and procedures in Sri Lanka. As this trip is not funded by the university I would so greatly appreciate any donation given to help get me to Sri Lanka.
