Student Fees

My name is Nhlanhla from Mpumalanga, Lindelani Trust. I am studying towards Bachelor of Commerce (Honours). My special focus is on Tax Technical and Compliance.

Briefly, I chose to enroll for a BCom Honours, particularly majoring in Taxation simply because I firmly believe that fiscal policy is one way in which a government can attempt to control the economy. Another way is through monetary policy which attempts to guide the economy by controlling the money supply

Revenue collection track record has been eroded and additional spending priorities and liquidity problems at state-owned companies threaten its expenditure ceiling.

Fiscal consolidation has failed, and little attention has been given to the decline in government net asset value due to the erosion of its asset base relative to GDP and the rise in debt, state-owned enterprises bailouts and contingent liabilities.

Ultimately, in addition to more taxes, a deteriorating fiscal position risks currency weakness and inflation

It also implies fewer resources are available to provide quality health and education services.

Therefore, the BCom Honours in Taxation programme will help me acquire the knowledge and skills to apply in the corporate sector, to review and revive the fiscal policy to operate efficiently and effectively for the betterment of the state and our economy .

However, being a student who hails from a poorly disadvantaged background, I am unable to afford for my fees let alone my unemployed mother who is a pensioner. I am a dedicated, hard-working and highly motivated student who never disappoints when afforded an opportunity.

Therefore, it is with humility that I request for funding. I place my faith in you Sir/Madam to help me realize my goals and reach my full potential.
