Student budget travel to Wales

About me

Hello people of the world, my name is Salma Mouselhy, but you can just call me Saso. I am a 19 year old college student, living in Egypt. I'm currently studying computer science course, and aiming to major in game development and design. I'm also an aspiring artist, while I draw mostly as a hobby, I hope to become a professional recognized artist in the game industry. I love watching anime and playing games, I sometimes exercise in my free time as well. I'm just a typical plain young adult so there's not much to know about me ~

Purpose of this campaign

I'm creating this campaign to help fund my travel to wales, the reason I want to go to wales is to meet my boyfriend there, I think it's agreed by almost everyone that long distance relationships are hard, so you don't need me to turn all drama-queen on you about this. I'm doing my best to make this happen and I believe it can happen.

Trip plans

I'm planning on staying for 10 days in wales, I'll be traveling across the nation and England during my stay so I can make the most out of it.

Day 1 to Day 2
I'll arrive in London Heathrow, and I'll be staying 2 nights in a hostel, to get the chance to visit the Big Ben, London Eye, ride double-decker buses and visit the Hamley's toy store. and at the end of day 3 I will have reached my room in Cardiff, South Wales.

Day 3 to Day 4
I'll be resting in my room in the shared apartment,and sort everything out, like food or other needs.

Day 5 to Day 6
I'll be strolling and hiking through Brecon Beacons, and watch the beautiful star scenery and sunset on one of it's top points.

Day 7
I'll go have some fun time in one of the beaches in Cardiff, and just chill in the beautiful weather

Day 8
Visit the great Caerphilly Castle !

Day 9
Discover Cardiff city center.

Day 10
It's farewell, back to my home country

Total cost of the whole trip

Flight fare / 450$
Accommodation + food and living expenses / 300$
Visa / 130$
Tour guides, crossing the wales border fees and others / 150$

Total ~= 1000$

bear in mind that I'm only taking the cheapest options I find, and that I'm not exaggerating when I say I spend hundreds of hours searching for the cheapest accommodation and flight tickets, and this is the average cost that I found.

The amount I saved up

through 5 month allowance and my art, I was able to save up only 500$
My boyfriend is going to take care of the tour guides, hang outs transportation and any fees, so 150$
dad is also supporting me by paying for the visa as well, so 130$.

so what's left is accommodation, which is around 300$, this is where I need your help.

What I'll be coming out of this trip with

I'm proud that I was able to plan out a 10 day trip to the UK for less than 1000$, that's why I'll be noting down everything I'll be doing in this trip, and how much it costed me to do it. I'll be writing every little details, and it will include my hike in Brecon Beacons, I'll also be doing tips, and what should be done and what should be prevented, and I'll even add a little section in the end about some British terms and slang that I found fun ! this would be the best guide for students or people on a student budget, and I'll completely be posting it on travel guides for free.

Tier 5 : This is the biggest reward, I'll be sending you a T-shirt of you color choice (black, gray and white) printed on it an art commission that I'll be making for you worth up to 50$, you can see my commission prices here, I'll also be sending you name, written in a calligraphy style in Arabic, it'll be inked on a piece of Canson sketch paper, as well as a postcard, and an Egyptian pound coin, for all you collection lovers.

NOTE 1 : rewards are only for the people who are interested, if you're not, you can message me to cancel the reward accompanied with the tier.
NOTE 2 : for the commission tiers (Tier 3, 4 and 5) I'll be needing you to prove a way for communication, be it email, skype, discord or facebook, so that I can update with you your commission.
NOTE 3 : For tier 5, specific shirt colors may not be available, this is out of my control and it depends on the shirt print factory I'll be dealing with
NOTE 4 : All of these rewards will be received AFTER the trip, so you should be receiving your rewards not later than 1st of October
