Struggling on the hefty Home Renovation Fund

While many thinks that Singapore is a great place to live in, there are low crime rate even if you are alone walk in the wee hours and a good geographical location that is free from almost all natural disasters. However, the living cost are hefty. To own a home in Singapore will cost you around S$300,000 in savings, and renovation cost can easily hit up to S$40,000, and I ain't even mentioning the furniture.

My wife and I earned around a total of S$4000 cash, and is now struggling to pay off our renovation cost after buying a home of our own.
