As most of us know, paying for college is not easy. And since I go to the most expensive public university in Ohio, Ohio State University, it is even harder to make ends meet. 4 years at OSU is about $110,000, so needless to say, I am in debt. In order to pay for this semester I had to pull all the stops. I exhausted my personal savings scholarships, financial aide and loans. I only have one close relative, and she is not in the position to help but somehow helped me anyway. Unfortantely since I have no one who can cosign a loan, I coudn't get the loans I needed, so I resorted to a payment plan with Ohio State, and paid for my books and the down payment with my credit card. I know, bad idea, but I was desparate.

Questions That I Know Will Be Asked

Why don't you get a job? : I do have a job, in fact I have two. I work on campus 30 hours a week (the maximum allowed) and off-campus waitressing an additional 20 hours a week. I also have resorted to selling just about everything I own(ed) on craigslist, and I babysit as often as possible. My professors also insist that being a student should be a full-time job too, with 3 hours of studying for every hour of classtime. So 18 hours of class plus 54 hours outside of class. So 122 hours of work, I don't think I can physically do anymore.

What exactly will my donation go to? Your donation will specifically go to a payment on my credit card.
