As many of you know, I have been struggling to be a father to my son since his mother moved with him to Minnesota in 2008 under false pretenses (i.e. a "temporary" move to flip a house while I was away at school for 10 months). From there she declared residency, then separated and divorced me, and remarried six months later to a man she moved in with while we were still married. They've since moved to Alaska, which makes my ability to spend quality time with my son--age 7--extremely difficult, with limited financial resources and dwindling work vacation days. We've endured a lethargic legal process to rectify this situation, which has been derailed by my son's mom temporarily. Having already spent over $15,000 in legal fees to date, I am in the process of revitalizing the effort for me to have legal backing to spend significantly more time with my son. With the combined legal costs and travel costs to spend time with my son, I really, really could use some help to allow me the ability to see this process through so that I can actually raise my son as his father. Will you help?**

** I will GIVE BACK to the community to thank you for your generosity:  I will volunteer one hour of my time for EVERY $100 raised!  The volunteer work will include work with Tryon Civitan Club (http://www.tryon.civitan.net/)--a sub-group of Civitan International (http://www.civitan.com/template.php?id=117)--which is an organization of volunteer service clubs around the world, dedicated to helping people in their own communities, from collecting food for a homeless shelter, to volunteering at a local retirement home, to building a playground for children with disabilities.  I have also offered my services to RCS (Religious Community Services -- http://rcsnewbern.com/), which provides food for the poor and runs a homeless shelter.  So, your donation will not only help me and my son, but also the community as a whole!

I will update you with the volunteer hours that I work, and include a link that will take you to photos/videos of my participation!

       Thank YOU, and God bless!
