This is our Carl Cane Hermocilla, my first baby. He was born last December 12 of this year, premature (28 weeks), incubated for 19 days and he is still at the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) for 1 month now. We celebrated our Christmas and New Year in the hospital hoping that my child will recover somehow. He was diagnosed with neonatal sepsis (baby infection) and a heart defect, wherein there are 2 abnormal openings in the walls of his heart. Our hospital bill ran two hundred thousand pesos (P200,000) and he needs more of the needed laboratory tests. He already had 2 blood transfusions because of low hemoglobin count and still on continuous antibiotics. Unbearable, my heart really cries seeing your baby, holding him in your arms and suddenly he is not breathing for 10 seconds, seeing him in a bluish discoloration due to low blood oxygen.

Our physician told us that his condition is manageable as long as we could provide continuous medication and lab exams. Baby Carl can now be discharged from the hospital but we still have a running balance of Fifty thousand pesos (P50,000), thus, he was hold and can't go home yet until we settle the hospital bill. I can see that my child is strong and fighting to survive. A baby warrior facing his battle. As parents, we are doing our best to support his life and much as possible we want him to live. Please help us…We are reaching for your generous hearts for any assistance that you may extend. May God bless you and repay you back in hundredfolds.
