Hello there! My name is Natalie

First off, I’d like say thank you very much to any and all individuals who have taken the time to read my profile/ fundraiser. Any amount that is donated will be greatly appreciated and I am a firm believer in the bible verse of Luke 6:31 “do to others as you would have them do to you”. Returning the favor in any way possible would be my way of giving back and showing gratitude.

I’d like to give a little background about me so that you could understand my situation better. I am a Florida native, born and raised in the state. Growing up, I had type 1 juvenile diabetes and my home wasn’t always stable. I did receive the help of welfare and Medicaid benefits up until I became 21 years old. Due to my circumstances, I was never able to live in one city for no more than a few years. As soon as I graduated high school, I took advantage of the opportunity to attend college. During this time, I was no longer able to continue receiving benefits as a result of my age. Of course, this then resulted in more serious health issues with my type 1 diabetes and not being able to receive a steady source of insulin. Eventually I was able to look into resources that I could rely on for a few years until I was able to pay for my own health insurance. Receiving proper health care put me on the verge of recovering after a few years of some damage to my body from uncontrolled diabetes and lack of insulin from the past. Over the past year I’ve been able to stand on my feet with no help by getting a stable place to live in, a job and enrollment back into part time classes. Although this may be the case, I have had a diabetic episode and was recently hospitalized for about two weeks. I have been cleared to go back to work but with the kind of job I had, a certain amount of absences is not excused even with a doctor’s note and discharge papers. I was also in the process of filing for a medical leave but unfortunately, I was not qualified. As a result, I was terminated.

With this situation coming into play recently, it came out of left field for me. I definitely want to continue progressing and I’m considering applying for benefits of disability with work credits So that I am still able to work. I also applied for more jobs and so far, I have about 5 to 6 interviews lined up. But in this moment, everyone is being affected by the Covoid –19 virus and most businesses and companies are shut down which delays the process of me getting at a new job. I would hate to remain stagnant in the process of building myself back up. I came this far in achieving my goals. A bit of help from anyone is greatly needed in able to hold me over while getting a new job. This is is necessary so that I can prevent myself from falling into a deeper hole. After falling a few times, I’d like to continue maintaining my balance so that I am able to complete my degree in psychology and remain self-sufficient as a young lady. Once again, any amount that is donated is greatly appreciated. Even if only read my story, I am thankful for that alone. Thankful very much and may all blessings flow your way.
