Some of you might of seen that while I was in Argentina I tried to do my little bit to help the huge number of street dogs over there. As a big dog lover it broke my heart seeing so many stray dogs just wandering round without a home. While I was there I met some people who are part of a charity that raises money to provide vet care for any injured/ill dogs and also fund a scheme to neuter all the dogs to try and stop the problem from getting any worse. They also spend there own time trying their best to find new homes for the pooches when they can. I know it the other side of the world but seeing it first hand I wanted to try help out in any way I could. I will be sending over some money to go toward the project and thought I would setup a just giving page so if anyone wanted to help too I could add it all together in one amount. It really doesn't need to be much at all as our money goes a long way there so even a couple of quid would be a huge help, thank you :)

  • Alex, thank you very much for creating this campaign. It's very hard to see (as you have seen from your own experience) so many street dogs in terrible conditions, homeless, sick, hungry, and the worst...feeling alone without a family. Here we collaborate with money, food, time, etc. In some occasions, people offer their houses as a provisory shelter for wounded or sick dogs and they, at the same time, try to find a permanent home for the dogs, but that's one of the hardest tasks since many times, once dogs have improved their health they sadly, have to return to street before finding a home because the hose owner has to shelter new sick dogs. We have a free castration program for street dogs as well, but although we do our best, it's never enough, there are so many dogs!!! Unfortunately, we don't get a response from the Government about this issue, they don't collaborate with street dogs, so things are much more difficult. So, again, thank you Alex for helping us. -Sole-
