I am Bence Juhász, a conductor who is working on a new, illustrated version of Stravinsky's The Soldier's Tale. A group of young, talented and ambitious Hungarian musicians will perform the music, and the tale will be narrated by Bálint Jaskó.
Igor Stravinsky's music always fascinated me. After the scandalous premiere of The Rite of Spring in 1913, the Western Music turned almost upside down. This newly introduced musical language for the first time scared many of his audience members away. Stravinsky was able to show his composition skills not only in large scale works, but also in smaller chamber and ensemble pieces, like his Mass and The Soldier's Tale.
I truly believe that music is not enough in itself to present perfectly the composer's message. We should use the other art forms, such as poetry, visual arts. So they hand in hand can create the perfect artistic work.
We need all of them to create theatre.
This is exactly the idea behind this project. To bring young and ambitious artists together and bring something which has never been seen before into existence. Hoping that many people , young and old, will be interested and like Stravinsky's music and the theatre.
To be able to make this project happen we need your help. During our artistic journey we make costs. We need to cover the costs of the venue, scores and technicians. Our team would appreciate and be grateful for any donations you, as our future audience member, make through this page.
We all are looking forward to see you on the 29th of March!
