Hi, my name is Josefine and I started this crowdfunding page partly to raise money for unexpected expenses as well as to make it possible for Aditya to visit his family in India.

My boyfriend Aditya, 33 years old is the kindest, most positive person I know. I am sure many will vouch for that. A few months ago our world got turned upside down when we received the news that Aditya has an aggressive form of diffuse b-cell lymphoma, and a big tumour (8x7x12cm) in his chest. These news sort of fell down from a clear blue sky. I guess no one is prepared for something like this, but considering his age and health it was so incredibly unexpected. Aditya has since this been on sick leave, and fought his way through 6 rough cycles of cytostatic treatments. He finally has a short break from chemo now for a couple of weeks before it is time to do a new PET/CT scan, to evaluate the result of the treatment. The future is uncertain. And the expenses are many.

Through all of this he has not complained even once. Being a scientist, previously researching cancer he is very practical and positive to treatment. The only thing on his mind, and the only thing worrying him in all this is the well-being of his close ones.

Which brings me to the second reason for this crowdfunding.

Aditya's parents live in India, and he has not been able to see them in over 5 years. Since his diagnosis his longing for them has been even greater than before. I mean, who wouldn't want their parents near going through times like these? There is nothing that he wants more than to be close to them. I guess, when cancer knocks on your door you realise what is important in life. And due to the current covid situation things have been even more difficult. His parents are old and unable to come visit us here in Sweden. I would like to help Aditya raise the funds to be able to go and be with them.

For this we need your help. I am currently on sick leave battling PTSD, without compensation from the government. We manage a day to day life, but are unable to save up and go on this important trip. We would greatly appreciate every little amount that could be spared.

Whether the scan shows that he is in remission, or if we have to continue the fight against cancer I feel that it is incredibly important that he gets to be with his family, before it's too late. So please help us!

Much love and many hugs,

Josefine & Aditya
