An exhibitionthat tells the silent stories of Kuchingites and their journey with depression. Organise by the team of STORY KUCHING In conjunction with 10th October's World Mental Health Day, and in collaboration with What About Kuching 2018.

Why are we doing it: The stigma and ignorance about mental health, in general, are much more pervasive in this small city of Kuching. We believe this is fuelled by the traditional mentality held by the general public, and the lack of awareness.

How are we doing it: We want to initiate a conversation with the public about this seemingly unconventional subject -- depression -- by telling stories. As a storytelling platform ourselves, we believe that a story has the capability to arouse compassion and empathy among people. We are in the midst of collecting stories from people who have gone or who are still going through depression, by allowing them a safe space where their voice can be heard. The story will be presented in the form of a letter and then installed in the exhibition.

This will be a non-ticketed event to encourage the public to visit.
