Stop Hunger Now

Hello! My name is Kelly. I am a senior at Parkdale High School in Riverdale, MD. Over the past 2 years in our International Baccalaureate Program, we have studied hunger and homelessness. My friend Telani and I are trying to host a meal packaging event that will go to the organization Stop Hunger Now. This is a hands-on opportunity that we both hope to accomplish. Stop Hunger Now's mission to end hunger by providing food and aid to the world's most vulnerable countries. We want to do the same.

Our goal is to raise $2,900.00 to package 10,000 meals with each meal costing $0.29. We know money is hard earned, but donating $1.00 is enough to help us get started. If we reach our goal and the event happens, then we are looking for 40-50 volunteers to participate. We are looking to raise at least $100.000 by the end of January 2015. If not, we are probably going to strive towards another project. We graduate in May 2015. We want to make a difference before we graduate. Even if it is a small one. Thank you so much for your time!
