Safety Education for Women and Parents:
Combating deadly violence with the weapon of Education.

______________________________________

Dear Safety Concerned Citizen:

I am Dr. Kenneth Love, an American citizen who has served in the following positions during my Safety/Security career; U. S. Army Sergeant, Police Officer, 2-Time State Prison Correctional Officer, Sergeant of State Juvenile Youth Commission, and Regional Director of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.  I am also the father of 5 children.

As you see, I have spent a considerable amount of time in the Safety and Security industries in one form or another.  And as you are likely aware, domestic violence and child abduction remain two of the most vile ills of our society, as well as on a worldwide level.  In fact, the United States federal government takes these issues so seriously that there are active political bills regarding both of these leading major crimes.

Additionally, I work in the Entertainment industry as a musician/recording artist, and author.  But as an author is my primary method of presenting this very important community proposal to you.

My FREE Self-Defense Reports, Flyer, & Video for Women & Parents:

I have written two reports based on my law enforcement and penal system experience that serve two vital and unique life-saving purposes:
1. One report instructs females on how to maximize their personal safety and security (titled "Saving Women's Lives").
2. The other report instructs parents on how to protect children from the deadly violent crimes of Child Abduction and Kidnapping (titled "Protect Your Child from Kidnappers!").

Likewise, we have produced a video that addresses Child Abduction and Kidnapping that every parent, childcare provider, teacher, and anyone or any organization who is charged with or responsible for the care of children should view as soon as possible.

We have also created a flyer available for reading online or downloading by anyone who desires to distribute it within their neighborhoods, communities, churches, schools, etc.

All of this information, which includes the two reports, the video, and the flyer, is available absolutely FREE online and at no cost to anyone, at any time.

However prior to moving forward, please review some amazing statistics on Domestic Abuse/Violence against Women and Child Abduction:

Domestic Abuse & Domestic Violence Statistics Reveal:

* An estimated one in every three women worldwide experiences violence, with rates reaching as high as 70 percent in some countries
* 24% of women between the ages of 18 and 65 have experienced domestic violence
* Nearly one-third of American women report being physically or sexually abused by a husband or boyfriend at some point in their lives
* On daily average, more than 3 women are murdered by their husbands or boyfriends in the United States alone
* Gender-based violence ranges from rape to domestic abuse and acid burnings to dowry deaths and so-called “honor killings”
* 74% of employed battered women were harassed by their partner while at work
* The total health care costs of family violence are estimated in the hundreds of millions each year
* 47% of corporate senior executives polled said that domestic violence has a harmful effect on company productivity, along with employee victims being stalked at work
* Violence against women and girls — in peacetime and in conflict — knows no national or cultural boundaries
* 15.5 million children live in families where family violence occurs
* Children exposed to family violence have a greater risk of having serious adult health problems
* The majority of U.S. nonfatal intimate partner victimizations of women (two-thirds) occur at home
* Children are residents of the households experiencing intimate partner violence in 43 percent of incidents involving female victims
* Someone is sexually assaulted in the United States every two minutes

Child Abduction & Kidnapping Statistics Reveal:

* In the United States, 17.6% of females have undergone some form of rape
* 21.6% were younger than age 12 when first raped, with 32.4% between the ages of 12 and 17
* Approximately 55,000 women and children are trafficked annually in the U. S.
* Every 40 seconds, in the United States alone, a child is reported missing or abducted.
* 1.5 million children are abducted each year. Can you imagine what this figure must be worldwide?
* With approximately 75 million children in the United States, every person has a 1% chance of being snatched away before surviving to adulthood to a parent (even 1% is 1% too much!)
* Of child kidnapping victims, 40% are killed, 4% are never found, with 71% being taken by a complete stranger
* Most abductions occur within a quarter of a mile from the victim's home
* 32% of child abductions take place on a street or in a car, while another 25% of abductions take place in a park or a wooded area
* In 46% of child abductions (almost half), the child is sexually assaulted
* More than 70% of kidnapping victims are girls
* 75% of kidnapped children are murdered within three hours of their abduction
* In a recent study, nearly three-quarters (that's 75%!) of the parents surveyed said they feared their child may be abducted (is fear for your child's life every waking moment any way to live?)

Requested Funding and How It Will Be Utilized

For a number of years, we have distributed this information in an effort to bring awareness to citizens via articles, newsletters, etc.  However, at this point and, particularly, in response to the recent horrific and tragic assault weapon murders that we, unfortunately, continue to witness, as well as the ongoing (and increasing) domestic violence against women, we are desirous of utilizing media on an international level to present and provide this information in an even wider context.

This increased breadth of awareness will be implemented and made available via advertisements, news releases, interviews, public service announcements, community seminars, workshops, and social education to as many citizens as possible.  The media sources that we wish to work with and through include television stations, radio stations, newspapers, magazines, online social media, community organizations, neighborhood watch groups, and social networking websites on a worldwide/international scope.

Consequently and as you may imagine, a social mission such as this requires significant financial funding as, understandably, this is no small endeavor.  As such, it will take both significant time and money for it to be socially effective on an ongoing, consistent, and widespread geographical basis.

These Dual Causes Are, Literally, Life-and-Death Missions

However, we strongly believe that this mission is not only needed imperatively, but that it is an extremely worthwhile counter mission to undertake by combating it with the weapon of education against these crimes, especially, as our governments, schools, churches, and more concerned entities continue to diligently seek solutions.

And, we believe that as you are likely aware of these and other similar social ills, you readily understand the immediate severity, attention, and serious need for answers to questions that these issues warrant that will serve to dramatically reduce such violent crime.

As such, we graciously request your consideration of assisting us with our continuing efforts to provide and distribute this worthwhile FREE information to various sectors of communities as widely as possible through your financial donations, funding gifts and, most importantly, in the interest of safety, security, and protection of all citizens and saving the lives of as many people who may, otherwise without access to such information, become unfortunate victims who lose their lives.

In closing, and in further consideration of such tragedies as Sandy Hook Elementary School and the death of its 20 children at the hands of insanity, the several Colorado mass murder incidents, as well as the numerous deaths in Florida, California, Wisconsin, and other such sites, I must echo the sentiment that CHILDREN are, indeed, our most valued asset as they maintain, continue, and expand both our humanity and our legacy.

People should not live in fear of their lives being shortened through deadly violent crime, or their children being taken and never to be seen again because they did not have access to proactive self-help and life saving information.  But more than a few people ARE living in fear DAILY, and their lives and their children's lives are being taken away rapidly by deadly violent crimes such as Domestic Violence and Child Abduction.

I thank you for your patience in reviewing this information and, again, for your consideration of donating, funding, and supporting these two compelling missions and causes.

Sincerely,

Dr. Kenneth Love
