Stitch needs help.

My name is Stitch! Yeah the Disney cartoon character. That was my buddies favorite Disney movie when he and his friend Cody (a Labrador) found me abandoned in an alley. I loved them both the moment I seen them and followed them home. He tried to locate my owners only to discover they had actually abandoned me in that alley. His home became my permanent home and of course there is much more to that story. Recently a few months ago I became very ill and he took me to a vet only to learn I had some life threating problems.

First they found I had a thyroid problem and put me on medication. I started feeling better and losing weight and it seemed all was good. A few weeks passed and I started feeling bad again and had to go back to the vet. This time it was life threatening and I had to spend over a week in the hospital for acute pancreatitis. The vet said this was happening because my bad thyroid had caused me to become a diabetic which was wreaking havoc on my pancreas.  The stay in the hospital was very expensive and more than my buddy could afford. He was not able to get any assistance from any credit organizations. Luckily the vet was willing to work with him and allow him to make payments. I came out in better shape than before, other than a “few” extra grey hairs on my chin. I have included a video that shows a picture of me sick at the hospital unable to walk on the slick floors and is followed by a video of me doing much better  around Christmas. 

I now have to eat a very expensive diabetic dog food that my buddy gets from the vet. He also has to maintain a supply of insulin, needles and my thyroid medication. That all adds up very quickly and now the vet is saying I need to return and will need more tests and possibly treatments. The original bill is still not paid off and other bills have been cutting into his finances. I was hoping I could help by seeing if I could find anyone that would be willing to help him help me. If enough people help a little then that could become a lot and help pay off my enormous vet bills and keep me healthy for years to come.
