Stiched Ministry

My calling began with self reflection and many prayers, asking for guidance and insight as to my place within the body of my new home/church.  Having recently been saved, I have this overwhelming desire to serve and be of service to my new family as well as to my surrounding community. I remember thinking to myself "how can I take a natural born gift and use it to the benefit of my church?"  Now, I have been a sewing bee for as long as I remember and coming from a long line of seamstresses it just seemed natural to me to take scrapes of fabric, old or tossed out clothing and make new items for my Barbie dolls.  Now, I would say that after about just 2 weeks of prayer and what seemed like endless hours of waiting to see what God's will had in store for me, an annoucement was made during a Sunday service.  A Stiched Ministry was being formed and all those interested in joining could sign up on the sheet posted on the bulletin board.  Praise God, my prayers were answered and I was more overjoyed that the Lord placed this opportunity for me to help my church!!!  This ministry will help to create costumes for our many plays and productions, help our Youth Group with crafts, make pillows for the local nursing home , not to mention help make our Santuary a more cozy place to visit.  I am asking for monetary donations to purchase materials or even donating items such as sewing notions, bottons, fabric and any crafting items to help fund this Ministry.  All donations are tax deductible :)
