Stem Cells with Love

Stem Cells with Love was borne out of the efforts of a group of people who are raising money to send local small business woman Maria Savvides to Russia in August for stem cell treatment, a treatment not available here in Australia. Maria is 40-years-old and has suffered from Multiple Sclerosis for the past 20 years.  She has recently been accepted into a Stem Cell program in Russia.  The treatment she receives should hopefully see her health restored, which would mean throwing away her walking stick and walking in a straight line.  Her greatest goal from walking normally again is to be able to participate in the mother/daughter race when her daughter starts kindergarten next year.  Her simple desires to do what we do so easily every day is humbling to say the least.
