My son Kiaryn is nearly 3 years old and has cerebral palsy due to a difficult birth. He can not sit unaided, walk or talk. He has low tone in his trunk and high tone in his 4 limbs making him very stiff. He eats pureed baby food, doesnt use his right arm/hand, has vision problems in his right eye and is a very bad sleeper!
I am raising money for him to have stem cell treatment in USA, needing £16,000 for treatment, flights and accomodation. Stem cells are taken from the umbilical cord of a healthy baby and are administered intravenously (IV). The cells home to damaged tissue and help to stimulate the repair of damaged nervous tissue in both the brain and spinal cord. There are many stories where stem cell treatment has helped to improve a childs vision, reduce stiffness, reduce epileptic fits, become more vocal, sit up and even walk!
this treatment will help him to improve in many areas, making his quality of life better.
