Dear All,

On 31 March 2017, my partner Gosia and I were delighted to welcome our two amazing twin daughters, Julia and Pola into this world.

Everything happened very suddenly that Friday night when it was discovered that Julia’s umbilical cord was clogged and she had been in Gosia’s belly with very limited oxygen for almost an hour. Finally born Julia was not breathing and her heart was not beating. Miraculously the doctors were able to bring her back to life however neurological damage was to be very likely.

The following four days were up and down, when finally we got the call from the hospital to come to say goodbye to our baby girl. You cannot imagine what one can feel answering such a call.

But she was brave, she didn’t give up, she never does. She stayed at the hospital for two long months, fighting for her life with fantastic support from the medical staff, our friends and family.

Today Julia is 18 months old and really showing improvements. She suffers from clear neurological damage however is home with her sister Pola and every day she amazes us. We continue our daily fight alongside our brave baby girl to improve her condition. Her recovery program involves receiving physiotherapy treatment from her mum three times per day. Appointments with doctors and physiotherapist several times per week are also a must.

Unfortunately this all comes at a cost, with most of her recovery program not funded by the state.

At the moment the best possible results for Julia can come from stem cell treatment. This procedure is very expensive and not covered by the state at all. Obviously we want to give Julia the best possible chance in life hence we want her to have this very expensive treatment either in Poland or abroad.

Together with Julia and her sister Pola we kindly ask you to support our fight to enable Julia to get the treatment she needs and deserves and help to grow and be able to play with her twin sister.

We would also very much appreciate if you could forward this link to your family and friends, each person’s support is very important to us.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
