Our Title 1 school is in the process of working to gain STEM certification. I currently serve as the STEM Coordinator. While attending a STEM workshop, a vendor gave me a sample STEM student agenda planner. The planners are age appropriate and filled with STEM-related facts and questions. Our highly diverse middle school students will gain knowledge of STEM-related innovations and careers. Along with the organizational benefits they provide, these planners offer STEM-centered weekly topics related to an overall monthly theme (i.e. design, development, energy, digital, environment, etc...). The planners also include home/school communication, daily family signature & note blocks, weekly goals & long-term assignment section. We need young people committed to STEM because jobs of the future are STEM jobs. It is my hope that with your donations, I will be able to pass these agendas out (free of charge) to students on the very first day of school (August 7, 2017). We hope to use these agendas to expose our students to STEM careers to ensure that U.S. industries have enough STEM graduates to meets its needs. I have received a quote in the amount of $1487.00 from Alliance Publishing and Marketing. It includes the purchase of 400 STEM student agenda planners, an 8 page student handbook to be included in the front, hall passes and shipping.
